# Asset Discovery

> Find assets with active trader involvement and current open-position skew.

Asset Discovery surfaces the tracked asset universe and highlights where traders are currently active.

## What it is for

Use Asset Discovery when you want to answer:

* Which assets have current trader involvement?
* Where is open-position skew long, short, or neutral?
* Which assets are attracting a concentrated set of traders?
* Which asset profiles should I inspect next?

Each row links to the asset's [Asset Profile](/docs/platform/asset-profile).

## Asset table

Common columns include:

| Column             | Description                                                        |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Asset** | Name, ticker symbol, and asset class. |
| **Price** | Current market price when available. |
| **Price Change** | Recent market move when available. |
| **Positioning**    | Long/short/neutral open-position skew from visible open positions. |
| **Active Traders** | Traders with visible open positions in the asset. |

## Filters

Asset Discovery uses the same asset class dropdown as [Feed](/docs/platform/feed) and [Trader Discovery](/docs/platform/trader-discovery):

* **All** (default, unfiltered)
* **Crypto**
* **Stocks**
* **Indices**
* **Commodities**
* **FX**

Assets whose class resolves to Other are included when the filter is **All** but are not offered as a filter option.

On smaller screens the asset class filter and other controls are grouped into a filter drawer opened from the toolbar.

Additional controls include a search input and the sample/context controls shared with the current product surface.

## Positioning

Positioning is based on currently open positions. A Long 67% reading means 67% of visible open positions on that asset are long in the current context.

This is a positioning signal, not a prediction and not a generated-summary sentiment score.
